Helen Batt Photography | Kent Wedding Photographer

Helen BattThank you for taking the time to visit my website.

I am a professional photographer living just outside of Ashford, Kent specialising in  wedding photography. I cover the whole of Kent, though I have been known to go further afield… including remote Greek islands.

My Style of Wedding Photography

Appreciating that your wedding day is one of the most important and memorable of your lives, I believe it should revolve around you, not me. My style of wedding photography is best described as photo journalistic and I enjoy capturing the events without influencing proceedings. Other than the requested group photos and couple portraits the day will be allowed to unfold naturally, allowing you to really enjoy it.

My aim as a wedding photographer is to produce for you a set of emotive and creative images which tell the story of your day so that when you look at them you will relive those moments that would perhaps fade in time if only committed to memory.

We were absolutely blown away by Helen’s pictures. Helen was able to capture the day perfectly and her pictures are the perfect memories of our day and the fun everyone had…— Amy & Piperis, Kythnos, Greece, Aug 2013

My Clients

The majority of my work is based in Kent at venues such as The Old Kent Barn, Hotel du Vin and Eastwell Manor, but I have also covered weddings and civil partnerships in Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, London, Scotland and even Greece and I am more than happy to travel if required to do so.

I am often commissioned to photograph same sex weddings and civil partnerships as well as church ceremonies, but I am happy to cover other religious and non religious ceremonies.

On The Wedding Day

Jo & Andrew Wedding-101My aim is to photograph your wedding in a way that when you look at your images you have a complete picture of what your day was like, reminding you of how you felt, the emotions you shared with those closest to you as well as those moments you didn’t necessarily see. I like to see myself as an observer of your day, recording the events as they occur so you can enjoy the proceedings, but I will also set aside some time, usually about 15 mins, to capture some beautiful portraits of just the two of you.

I will of course also photograph aspects of the venue and those all important details that you have taken time to choose as well as any requested group shots.

As a qualified member of The British Institute of Professional Photography and Wedding Photojournalist Association, I take pride in continuing with my professional development in order to always achieve great results that my clients love.
